Our action-packed Bavarian Strongman competition is back for 2011, proudly sponsored by the King of Cakes and the German Sausage Hut. There are exciting and delicious prizes to be won, so enter now.

The Strongman events take place on the dance floor in front of the stage in the main Oktoberfest tent. Enter a team of your own or simply sit back and watch the fun as teams of three people compete for the Bavarian Strongman Trophy (which is competed for on an annual basis).

Teams of three (3) compete in each of the following disciplines: 

• Nailing
• Keg rolling
• Saltstick eating
• A bucket race
• Masskrug (beer stein) stemming

Points are awarded to the place getters for each discipline. The team with the most points after all five disciplines have been completed wins the title of “The Bavarian Strongman 2011”.

Points are awarded to the top four teams in each discipline as follows:

• First place - 4 points
• Second place - 3 points
• Third place - 2 points
• Fourth place - 1 point

Please note: All contestants must be aged 18 years or over. Teams can be made up of both men and women. Contestants must be at the Oktoberfest Tent by 2pm on the day of the competition.
