Oktoberfest Brisbane is a proud partner of the Companion Card, by working together to promote rights of people who have a disability and a lifelong need for ‘attendant care support’. Oktoberfest Brisbane invites all Companion Card holders to attend the Festival.
Valid government-issued Companion Cards from all States (sample shown below) are accepted at all days of Oktoberfest Brisbane. The Companion Card program is run by the Queensland Government and all formal applications for a Companion Card must be made through http://www.qld.gov.au/disability/out-and-about/companion-card.
Using your Companion Card
Tickets for the person who requires support can either be purchased on-line or at the Oktoberfest box office at the Festival entry.
With Tickets purchased on-line, the Companion Card holder must show their companion card (along with their companion’s on-line ticket) at the Oktoberfest box office. A “Companion Card” ticket will then be issued at no charge.
With Tickets purchased at the Oktoberfest box office, the Companion Card holder must show their valid companion card when purchasing their companion’s ticket and a “Companion Card” ticket will then be issued at no charge.
Customers must show their valid Companion Card (sample shown here) at the Festival Entry gates. No card or invalid cards will result in your companion being denied entry. Tickets may be available to purchase at the box office subject to availability.
