Oktoberfest Brisbane cares about the community we live in and giving back. We are proud to have raised over $207,000 for Youngcare Australia since our festival commenced. Learn more about Youngcare and how you can help us support them.
Oktoberfest Brisbane’s beers are brewed specifically to the Reinheitsgebot {Bavarian Purity Law}, which states that only four natural ingredients be used to brew beer: water, malt, hops and yeast.
Bayrisches Reinheitsgebot
This year marks the 500 year anniversary of the Bayrisches Reinheitsgebot {Bavarian Purity Law}. Read more about it and what we are doing at the festival to celebrate this momentous milestone.
Anzapfen
Each year Oktoberfest Brisbane is officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Brisbane, by the tapping of the first keg of the festival. This is a long held tradition, of which the Munich Oktoberfest has upheld for over 200 years. Read more about our Anzapfen ceremony.

OktoberFEAST
Join the Official Beer Ambassador of Oktoberfest Brisbane, Matt Kirkegaard, and some ‘celebrity’ chefs, on a journey of beer and food. Matt and guests will showcase the Oktoberfest Brisbane beers paired with some delicious recipes.
Autoshow
Join Brisbane’s German car aficionados and enjoy vintage, classic or late model German vehicles at Autoshow. Displayed on the final day of Oktoberfest Brisbane, you will enjoy the precision engineering and design some of Brisbane’s finest.
