The expression “so much to do, and so little time” could not be more true when it comes to Oktoberfest Brisbane. But you’re in luck, we’re going to give you all the information you need to plan your day/days at Oktoberfest Brisbane before you step through those magical gates.
There’s something for everyone so be sure to come one and come all and know what speaks to you before you go.
Let’s start with our families.
For those of you with little ones that want to join in on the fun – the Kinder Zone has fun filled activities all day. There’s Street Science for kids, the Kasperltheater Puppet Show, Go for Goal and signing sessions with German stars of Brisbane Roar’s Hyundai A-League team and players from their Westfield W-League, as well as FUNtastic rides and a petting zoo just to name a few of the heaps of activities throughout the festival.
For those of you who want to dive into the traditional German experience there’s loads to keep you entertained and educated. You’ll walk in as a guy or gal from Brisbane and leave as a Kerl or Mädel (still from Brisbane). Over on the German Connections stage you’ll find yodelling experts Heidi & Adeline, the Alpenrosen Dance Group bell-ringing and leg-slapping, and also OktoberFEAST with Matt Kirkegaard and Emily Loo. In the Oktoberfest tent you can see the Münchner Buam band play all our favourite German tunes as well as catch the Miss Oktoberfest Brisbane Competition and/or the Bavarian Strongmen Competition (better yet – enter one of them!)
And don’t forget on the final day of the festival, head over to the Munich Biergarten for the Autofest, Oktoberfest Brisbane’s German Classic Car Show.
