Brisbane Roar at Oktoberfest Brisbane

For the first time, meet local German Brisbane Roar Football Club players at Oktoberfest Brisbane.

Get an autograph and photo with Brisbane Roar players Thomas Broich and Jerome Polenz. Ask them football questions and maybe gets some technical tips to put in to practice when you have a shot at our Youngcare ‘Torwandschiessen’ (Go for Goal) challenge. It’s only a gold coin donation to have a kick and all proceeds go to Youngcare, Oktoberfest Brisbane’s charity partner since 2008.

Thomas & Jerome LIVE!

Thomas has been with the Brisbane Roar since 2010. After a successful youth career in Germany he moved Down Under and is rated as one of the Hyundai A-League’s best players. This was confirmed when he won the player of the year (Johnny Warren Medal) twice plus player of the match in the Brisbane Roar Grand Final win.

Jerome joined the Brisbane Roar squad in January 2015. He began his Australian football journey at the Western Sydney Wanderers after playing professionally in Germany throughout his youth.

Both players are at Oktoberfest Brisbane on Saturday 10th October so don’t miss this fabulous opportunity to meet them in person.

But wait, there’s more of the Roar!

Sunday 11th October it’s the women’s turn, as Brisbane Roar’s Westfield W-league stars Maili Forbes and Ruth Ivy visit Oktoberfest Brisbane.

Bring your Roar supporters gear and get the girls to sign them, and bring your sisters or daughters so they can learn first-hand that football is definitely not just a boy’s game. They may even beat the boys at Torwandschiessen – give it a try!

Check out the signing session times below, and be sure to get there early to not miss out on the action!
